iowa conventions

Presidential Electors

Electors cast the official ballots for Iowa’s 6 electoral votes.


Delegates at each District Convention elect 1 Elector. Delegates at the State Convention elect 2 Electors.


Any registered Iowa Democrat. In the case of Electors elected at the District Convention, nominees must reside in the District they seek to represent.


Fill out the IDP Convention Nomination Form.


Iowa has a total of 6 Presidential Electors.


WHEN our Democratic nominee wins Iowa, Electors must cast a ballot  per instructions given by the State of Iowa.
